I have also read, but have never tried, to set the tension on the machine to the tightest and the stitch to the longest will make the fabric ruffle. I have never tried it, but would think that would only work on a very light fabric.

On the circle skirt, maybe you are loosing the shape of the circle after you do the hem? Are you doing a roll hem? I have that happen with the roll hem sometimes.

  • Befor you add the hem to the skirt you should hang it on a hanger over night and the fabric will relax then cut it even and hem it! This will almost always happen with circle cut fabric! (NT) -- Megan, 07:11:21 09/23/07 Sun
