During the year's ideals of what socially and poliitcally was acceptable changed in many ways including the music people listened to, what they wore and how they expressed their sexualities. In the early 1920's music was just instruments talking back and fourth to eachother which then led to a change and ended up in the 60's having lots of drums, guitar and lyrics that people could sing along and dance with. Music became more of way the way of life during the 60's because the lyrics expressed much of how they did not want to be restricted anymore and wanted to be free from all rules. Fashion also followed what the music was saying, clothes in the 20's were very conservative and eventually changed so that in the 60's during the summer of love, people were walking around in loose flowing clothing and sometimes even just naked. This also led to a change in the way sexuality was looked at. People were no longer afraid of their feelings towards others during the summer of love. While in the 20's you would not ever even kiss someone in public which then in the 60's people were all over eachother with many public displays of affection. Not only did this have to do with relationships of opposite sexes but also same sex relationships, people did not care now about what people thought of them and so many of those relationships came out into the open during the summer of love.

dancing yet again was one of the major changings during these times. in the 1920's you would not be seen making sexual advances on the dance floor which then in the 60's was the thing to do, artists were even performing such dance moves.
