 Camptown Races was originally created as form of racist entertainment, and still should be considered offensive towards the African American Culture. Camptown races still possesses the same lyrics today, as it did before, and if the lyrics haven't changed, then the meaning hasn't either. Today there is also a greater awareness of racism, which would make the song even more offensive to African American people. So in conclusion, Camptown Races' meaning is still offensive to particular people, which makes the song racist.
