The Bulldogs are still state champs until somebody knocks them off. Freeman has been playing pretty well, but can they play in a close game. League play starts this week with Newport and Kettle. The girls should win those, but what are the boys going to do? THe Kettle match up is slated as game of the week on this website. The boys need some momentum going into lakeside and Colfax.

I believe the Freeman Scottie girls have what it takes to knock-off defending State Champ Colfax. The Colfax ladies are going to have to revamp their offense; they no longer have Elise Markley, Shana Largent, Lauren Mellor or Kylie Shaw. This year, as in the past three, Harazin, Teade, and Lazzarini are going to be forces to be reckoned with.

Freeman lost Miller to graduation, and returns Heinen, Raines, McIntyre, Carrell, and Moberg. With new additions to the team, like standout freshman Taylor, the Scotties just might turn the tables. If they buckle down and play their game, they just might be able to stop them. The Scotties' full-court press really stresses Colfax, a team that trys to run-and-gun the ball to the basket everytime. Should be an interesting game to see.
