I don't get it. Why do people support his cheating pageant -- From a Mom that is very upset, 07/15/08 12:43am

What is the draw to Faces? I was so disappointed in every aspect of this pageant from start to end. It was in a tent and you had to walk through the H/M people to get to line up. Very rarely saw Troy especially during crowning, he left the pageant and was no where to be found. He had his state directors giving out money and was told he left the resort. What type of director does this? He did the skit for the ultimate and then disappeared the rest of the time. The crowns were cheap. And I mean CHEAP. And they didn't make sense. Why were highter titles given smaller crowns? And why was the money not awarded on stage? We paid you in cash? Why didn't you pay out in cash? And why were there no banners? You didn't even know what the kids won. No title banners of anykind and no explanation. This pageant is close to a cattle call. You walk out and have 45 seconds. Oh but you had to stand in line up for the 30 minutes first for the judges to walk by and look at you like you were a line of dogs! They gave out buttons...YES buttons for side awards. The bags they gave were a joke. Terrable quality. Couldn't even see the picture that was screen printed on the front and they stuck a photo on the back. Don't get it? Hello can someone help me here? The pictures are not going to stay on the bags? Is that so you didn't have to give out plaques? Very strange. And if you had 200+ kids there why didn't you give more out? Is it because you are in this for yourself? Fill you pockets? What about the kids? Someone please explain to me why this is acceptable????????????????????????????????????????

[> What you described sounds like a lot of the gifts last year & yet people still attended (looks like in record numbers). The most we have ever done with FF is prelim & state. Won't do nationals. The last two years I have read several comments from unhappy parents. The travel & hotel fees along are high. Billy Newson has a pageant an wants to charge $145 an gives out awesome crowns, gifts an free food an you guys act like its a million dollars. So what gives. Pageant Fest does more for the kids than any pageant I know. Heck he took his returning royalty to Country Tonight in a Limo an then had a free dinner buffet for them an then each of them got gifts on crowning day. Who does this? Hmmm, Who. But yet all you guys can do is complain or bash this system. I'm not understanding

If your dd was in the group that had bicycles then everyone in that group got a bicycle. Not just the queen but everyone in the group. In every group every child received the same gifts. It was great.

Dont start that mess, just because your precious national dd didnt win one of the titles, Most of the winners HAVE won national titles. Just because some of them dont go every weekend does not mean they are not national level girls. The results were right on at pageant fest so just stay home next year and we wont miss you.

we are not mad that tb didnt win at either pageant. And about the win at Cover Miss, you are out of your mind if you think tb was giving that title. Every girl had the same chance to win at that pageant. The directors are very fair and would not cheat even if somebody wanted them to. If it is any of your business the only complaint we have about FF is that it cost to much. We are happy about the winners at both pageants and never come on here and talk about pageants or the winners. Now to the person that said that it was us, you sure are big hiding behind that computer if you have something to say come to my face and say it. I will even give you my phone number and you can call me and tell me what you think.

Fab Faces. It will never be in the same league. That is tooo funny. Also most of the winners of Pageant fest were not National winners unless it was some little 20 contestant National pageant. Don't try to make people think you win alot of National titles because you don't. Only a few there even do big glitz National/\

I for one know that CK and HR which are his last 2 highpoints have definitely won big nationals. Please don't bash, Pageantfest is a great system and gives great awards. At least there, you know you will leave with something that the kids will enjoy having.

Was at PF past two years. Yes, it did have national level competitors both years, and they were experienced and beautiful chldren. True there were equal numbers of 'newbies' there too. That is what makes it so great! It gives some of the new faces a chance to compete with the best and to see if they want to move on to a higher level. Believe me, there were some new children there this past year that could run with any of the name children on the national circuit if given the time/experience, coaching & the opportunity. I just don't understand why every comment on this board turns on someone, as I figure this one will on me. Maybe it will give someone else a rest.

I must say, I am ashamed to ackowledge Troy douglas and his filty cheating ways.

with 200 kids there, the prizes shouldve been better.

Troy is jealous os Billy Newsome. His pageants are wonderful.

TB and family, yes I agree that Cover Miss was handed to them even though Cover Miss is one of our fav's.
she bombed at pageant fest and then again at faces. Kinda looks weird don't it. Where else has she own at? (a real pageant )
