'Neath the Hem of Dark

Call to the night,
shadow crave dancer,
it paints with black eyes
and crawls inside
the restless,
crinkling the linen covers
of dream

the silvered hush of shadow
slips beneath
the hem of dark,
moving unseen
to tease & trace
the fevered lick
of spine

arched, for the
tempt touch of night,
it whispers
close and intimate
to your rise and fall,
knowing you love it
like that

let it milk the moon
of all her night,
watch her spill and quench
desire�s bidding...
break loose,
peel back the chains
and step through the open door
to a new dawn
