Helen M. Misch Tanselle 101, Indianapolis, died Sat. Dec. 22, 2007. She was born Jan. 28, 1906 in Indianapolis. Mrs. Tanselle was a graduate of the Teachers College of Indianapolis in 1925 and Butler University with a BS degree in 1944 and a MS degree in 1957. Mrs. Tanselle taught at a school in Okmulgee, OK in 1925, then Avon and Oaklandon and Indianapolis Public Schools 47 and 21 for over 50 years. Her hobbies were traveling and antiques. She was a member of Zeta Kappa Phi, Dar Cornelia, Cole Fairbanks Chapter Tri Psi, International Travel Study, Business and Professional Womens Club and was Past President of American Association of University Women, Avon Methodist Church, Doweny Avenue Christian Church, all of Indianapolis. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 in Oak Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by husband, John Eaton Tanselle; parents, Edward Misch and Grace Yelton; sister, Jean Misch Keiper; brother, Thomas E. Misch. Survivors include daughter, Nancy Patrick; son-in-law, Farrell Patrick; grandchildren, David F. Patrick, Mission Hill, Nancy Maiter, Boca Raton, John P. Patrick, Arlington, VA; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Victoria, William, Claire, Eleanor, Ryan and John Maher. Arrangements by Russell and Hitch Funeral Home, Lebanon, IN.
