Lorena "Rene" I. Davis 92, died January 3, 2008 at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus, IN. She was born in Bloomington, IN January 10, 1915, the eldest daughter of Ralph G. and Lizzie Pearl Walker. Lorena is survived by her daughter, Claudia J. Davis; sister, Judith A. Means; brothers, Douglas L. Walker, Paul S. Walker and Martin D. Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Davis; sisters, Martha L. Mates, Jerretta T. May; and brother, Jerome A. Walker. Calling will be from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. In lieu of memorial services, friends and family are encouraged to remember "Rene" with their personal memories during the calling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, Inc., 2626 East 17th Street, Columbus, IN 47201 or Alzheimer's Association, 9135 N. Meridian Street, Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209.
