Alyssa rubbed her fingers over Chica's shiny silver halter. She ran her hand down the silver lead chain and onto the beautiful, tan leather. Jodi came over and patted Chica's back.

"Ready for the show Alyssa?" asked Jodi.
"Um,Yes," she replied.

Alyssa, dressed in her accurate Equestrian outfit looked just as fancy as her pony. Alyssa and Jodi walked Chica to the arena gate and stopped. Alyssa nodded and walked Chica into the arena.

She came upon the white line and stopped. The judge standing in the arena nodded and Alyssa walked Chica gracefully to the next white line 20 feet away. Once she crossed the second line, she tugged Chica into a trot. Chica and Alyssa formed a perfect rythem across the pasture.

Once they came near the judge, Alyssa slowed Chica and she went straight into a halt, two feet in front of the judge.

"Good," whispered the judge. The judge nodded and Alyssa walked Chica out of the arena.

Alyssa let out all of her breath in a slow sigh as Jodi jogged up to her. Alyssa started grinning and said,"She said 'Good'!" They walked Chica back to the trailer and tied her up. Alyssa hugged her gentle mare and sat down to rest a bit.

Once rested, she got up and started to prepare for her next event by grooming Chica and wrapping her legs, tacking her, and polishing her hooves.
