Hello everyone,
Practice change AGAIN!!!! Unfortunately, we are having a rough time getting access to the cafeteria. Since we were moved out of the high school we have less space in the wrestling room than in previous years, a lot less space. We have been trying to figure out a solution to this space problem, and the solution was to separate novice and open into the cafeteria and the WR, holding practice at the same time for both division. We have been booted out of the cafeteria on Tuesdays and Thursdays and there just isn't enough room to hold both practices in the WR. Practices are moving BACK to Monday and Wednesday from 6-8 pm. We know this is confusing and inconvenient but it is our only option. We want to make sure the kids get good quality practice time. Trust us, this is not something we like doing and is just as frustrating for us as well. If you EVER have a question on practice times check the front page of the web site (not right now..it's not updated) it will be listed there.
Starting next week practices move back to Monday and Wed. from 6-8 pm.
Don't forget our "walk through" on Saturday night weigh ins, 6-8 pm. We will walk you through the entire procedure for Sunday morning..hopefully making you a bit more prepared on how things will work.
I have all entries for next weekends tournaments in..THANKS!!! Start thinking about where you want to be the following weekend, they will have to be in by next Wednesday 1-14-2009..those tournaments are:
Jan 24th, Montrose Open
Jan 24th Linden Novice
Jan 25th Durand Open
Jan 25th Birch Run Novice
Also, we encourage all wrestlers to attend the Durand tournament, even though it is an open tournament. It's kinda of a sister thing we do with Durand, they send all they can to ours, we send all we can to theirs We will have a pot luck (sign ups for items to bring will be out next week) and everyone will be free to eat all day long. The club supplies the meat and we usually get a lot of goodies and a whole table in the cafeteria in which to eat it. So make sure you sign up for Durand and hang out with us, BUT you are free to attend any tournament you choose. You are NOT required to attend Durand.
