Why do I feel alone when you're holding me?
How is it my heart yearns to be free?
Your clasp is so tight and empty is your hold
I feel I want you but not this much.
Your kisses are passionless,
Your touch is cold.
I am not a child, I do not need to be protected
A black light shines in this darkness,
So only you can guide me in this light.
The night is thick it suffocates me.
You block out the fight,
You coo and assure,
Tell me I'm alright
But I'm not, I'm empty, so is my life.
But if I lost you what would I be?
It'd be emptiness minus you and me.
So I hold on tight,
And tonight, together we'll be alone.
