why go after him, the man retired..........besides, why would christie want to alienate him, which would hurt christie if he decides to seek higher office!!

explain why every document in gormleys office was shredded before mccullough took occupancy

You don't know for certain that docs were shredded. Yes, when McCullough took over, all the docs were gone, but how do you know they were shredded? Gormley hated McCollough and didn't want to give him a leg up in any way, shape or form. It may have been more personal and legal.
