Catch me -- The Poetry Parlour

Catch me

Listen
to the beating
of my heart,
do you hear
the ache
that dwells
within?

Look
into the depths
of my eyes,
do you see
the tears
bleeding
rivers?

Swim
through the echoes
of my soul,
can you feel
the sadness
overwhelming
my spirit?

Observe
the trembling
of my lips,
can you tell
I'm about
to crash upon
my knees?

Harken
the rhythm
of my breathing,
do you hear
the sorrow
in my
sighs?

Then please,
please, catch me,
hold me,
protect me,
surround me
and embrace me
with your warmth and love.

For right now
it hurts
deep within,
the darkness
is devouring me
and I'm fighting
to see the light.

I'm so
beyond stressed
and I feel
so depressed,
my heart cries
and the tears
continuously fall.

It's been
one of those days,
or rather one
of those weeks,
it just doesn't
take much
to bring me down.

I get
into these moods
and I just
want to cry,
in these moments
I am lost
in tears.

Still,
I know someone
sees me
and I know
someone hears me,
yes I know
I am far from alone.

So please,
please, catch me,
hold me,
protect me,
surround me
and embrace me
with your warmth and love.
