] Date Posted: 14:23:32 01/15/08 Tue Eugene Heasm He's a man of convictions He's a man of stubbornation. Eugene Heasm dislikes a lot. He has no pleasure with what differs, He has no joy with colorful rainbows, He can't stand the company Of people from down the classes, Kaleidoscopes give him headaches, Too many kinds of music, Always getting him in nauseas. Eugene Heasm has likes a lot. He enjoys whoever is his mirrored reflection, He loves black and white surroundings, Though he'd rather they're monochrome white. He's a scientist Also he rules his world And he organized manipulations. Minds, first, were modeled To the one pattern he drew, And so people were glad To throw away their self-procreation desires To replace it by the bleach-clean laboratories And confident and proud, they became parents Of a legion of tiny Eugenes. Self blinded, Eugene Heasm Didn't guess that several generations later Of Eugene Heasm's quite clones, The microcosm turned mad Unable to keep being self-sufficient Unable to fulfill it's needs Too much disabled born youth. Eugene Heasm's world Was dying of selfishness, Was rotting from consanguinity. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 16:29:28 01/15/08 Tue Wow! What an in depth piece of work! Too much self centerdness combined with too much control can ruin a good thing...there are so many layers to this...I read it at least 3 times, and kept finding more! Quite the portrait! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20:28:27 01/15/08 Tue Mir, I just watched a PBS special on stem cell research. Of course, much of the debate was over religious views of conception and also the concern for the advancement of the cloning process. I do know this more than one of any of us was not intended for this world. Take me for instance. If there was two of me, then all of those people I aggravate would be aggravated twice as much. Anyway, love the poem and always the places your words take me too. Thought provoking poetry. thanks, andy [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 14:14:40 01/16/08 Wed Well, there it's less about cloning but about eugenism that's, imo, worst than cloning. Cloning has saved some lives and will again, eugenism never did. Thank you very much dear sweet friend. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 04:13:00 01/17/08 Thu Hello Mireille I think our tinkering with Mother nature's ways has always and will always lead to monsters, most of them the people doing the tinkering, rather than what they produce. and I can't see me ever throwing away those self procreating desires, but that's just me! A well crafted, thoughtful approach to this topic, which I enjoyed immensely. Max [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
