] Date Posted: 15:43:22 01/17/08 Thu The mighty trees stood in the copse, The lumberjacks close by, Revving of their chainsaws, Janel could not believe her eyes, “No! No! Not the lovely trees!” The Lumberjacks just glared, At the poetess who pleaded, That the Mighty Oaks be spared, The whirring chains soon ravaged, The Bark so old and worn, Ruthless in their terror, Of the gaping wound so torn, The lumberjack was careless though, As he turned to scratch his head, The mighty oak gave one last ‘CRACK!’ Then it squashed the scoundrel Dead! Janel then danced a little jig, Her joy it did abound, As all the others tried to dig, The lumberjack from the ground, So the moral of this little tale?
