Just wanted to tell everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Cant wait to see everyone at world. Jennifer and I are really looking forward to it. Just an update...Jennifer is playing basketball and tonight we won (woohooo lady blizzards!!!) But the expense of winning was one black eye, both knees bruised and elbow bruised. I bet Jen thinks it was worth it.
Everyone traveling this holiday season drive safe...and watch out for the cops. (Unless you are coming through Winters then look for them and stop and say HI)

I have set January 2 for our work shop and after Christmas party. I will be sending out a e-mail on all information in a few days. We just had to many that all ready had plans before Christmas so I hope this will work for almost everyone. The work shop is the most important part so we can be ready for World but I want it to be fun for the girls also.

I would like for everyone to welcome our new queens. I have had to pass down the crown on two division. I'm really sad that this had to happen but very excited to welcome Chancey Henderson as our new 0-2 Universal Beauty queen and Hannah Alexander as our new 3-6 Universal Beauty queen. There has been a lot going on trying to get everyone ready for World.
I just want to say Thank you for all the wonderful Birthday gifts you all gave me that was the greatest and worth getting older for.HA!! That was so very sweet and so loving. I love you all so much.
To all my outgoing queens I love yall so much and was so very proud to say you were my Texas queens you were the best and please always know you are a very big part of us and I hope to see you back and I hope you stay a very big part of us.

1. SHOEBOX
Use an empty shoebox (Standard Size, Please) or a small plastic container. You can wrap the box (lid Separately), but wrapping is not required. Most importantly, pray for the child receiving your gift!
2. BOY OR GIRL?
Determine whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the child�s age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Print out the appropriate boy/girl label using this link- http://www.samaritanspurse.org/pdf/one_sheet.pdf Mark the correct age category on the label, and tape to the top of your box!
3. FILL WITH GIFTS
Fill the box with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child. Use the gift ideas provided below.
Toys- Small Cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes etc.
School Supplies- Pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, coloring and picture books, etc.
Hygiene items- toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, washcloth etc.
A Personal Note- In a separate envelope, you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself and your family. (If you include your name and address the child may write back!)
DO NOT INCLUDE- Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate, candy or food; liquids or lotions; Medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers; Aerosol cans
(Each box should include $7 to help with shipping and other expenses! If in the form of a check make it out to Samaritans Purse)

Ron, Welcome To Texas Our Little Miss! I hope that your first time experience was a great one. In Prelims, The girls are judged on different things. Depending on the Prelim Dirrector, It could be a number of competitions that the girls compete in. For Beauty season, they can compete in party wear, sports wear, and interview. Those are the areas the girls that continue on to the World competition will compete in. For a prelim they can compete in as little areas as just party wear, which when that is the case, the girls are judged on poise, Modeling, and beauty.Or that is what I understand. That is how I instruct my judges for the West Texas Area Prelims. The World competition will also have optional catagories, that the girls are able to enter, for instance, photogenic and different modeling competitions. If you have more questions, feel free to write or call our State Director, Jeanie Yeates. Her info is on the main site. I hope this helps. This is a very fair system, which my Daughter loves to compete in. She has been a State winner with this system as well as other Pageant systems and perfers this system to any of the others by far! I hope that I answered your concerns.

It is a part of the Belton County fair and will be just a Livin'Doll and Photogenic type pageant.
This would be a fun pageant for everyone to attend that needs points for UB

I am all for being united as a state and doing as much as possible as a group!! The Texas dresses are good and I also think a t-shirt (in a fun color with a fun design) would be great. You can usually get them done pretty inexpensive. For the pool party I suggest a tropical print cover-up/dress to wear over swimsuits.

These are just suggestions and I am open to anything!! I just want us to be a group and have fun together!!

We also need to make sure we know EVERYONE that is attending World so they can be informed of the things being done as a group.

Hi everyone,

I am working with Mrs. Jeannie to plan for Worlds. There are a number of functions that we should attend as a group. The first is the registration and Opening Ceremonies, the second is the pool party. It would be wonderful to have a special dinner for the group.

I would like the girls to match and sit together for these events. If we plan ahead and work with the schedule we should be able to make a strong united support system for each of the girls competing.

I understand that the �Texas Dresses� made for those who attended Universal Beauty did not fit correctly. I am willing to make adjustments if needed or make a new one. I think we as a group have enough dresses that we can swap around so we can save a few dollars.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

I'm so happy to bee one of the top spellers in third grade!!! I've never been in a spelling bee before so this was my first one, and luckily I made it to finals. The down part is the HUGE list that they give you to study, that list is about 10-20 pages long.

AMERICAN COED TEXAS STATE FOR 1/2 PRICE -- Sarah Smith - Regional UB 13-14, 09:32:18 04/16/09 Thu [1]
Hey girls, if anyone is interested in going to the American Coed Texas state pageant in June, let me know because I have certificates that will get you 1/2 off the entry fee ($175 savings). It will be June 5-7 in Irving (near DFW) and I'll be giving up my title. It's for girls 3-22 and I would love to see some of you there. If you want a certificate, let me know and I'll get one in the mail to you asap. Hello every one! I just wanted to post the winners of the West Texas Area Official Our Little Miss Prelim in Plainview. We had a great time! It snowed, but that did not stop the girls and the precious baby boy from coming to compete! We wanted to say a special thank you to Nancy and Melony Alverez, and Jeanie and Dennis Yeates for coming all the way to the FLAT LAND HAHA, to help with the prelim, we had a great time visiting and talking OLM!!!!Kaci, and Kaytlin, ofcoarse we missed you, and Johnna and girls, maybe you can come next time, we will for sure feed you some steak!!!! Thank you all so much again, and we are sadly looking forward to State (Emmy will be handing her title over to another very talened girl, and the ROBE) So until State, Be blessed and we will see everyone soon!
