In reply to: 's message, "Can someone please clarify how "supreme" queen competition differs from "queen" - I always thought that only if you win queen are you eligible for supreme/overall. However, I have noticed that some pageants do not double crown (which is fair to spread the awards) but what makes you eligible for supreme if you haven't won your division? Thanks -" on 14:32:45 07/04/08 Fri

If for instance your daughter competes in the 0-3 Supreme group (meaning there will be 1 supreme out of everyone 0-3 yrs. old) If the groups are broken down 0-11mo., 12-23mo., 2 yrs., & 3yrs. Everyone competes in their age group after all the groups have competed the person tallying the score sheets will look at all the Queens scores, the person with the highest score will win supreme. (Lets say the the supreme is someone in the 2 yr. old group.) If the pageant does not double crown everyone that was in 2yr. old group will advance 1 notch and the little girl that would have gotten princess in that group would then advance and win Queen. I hope this helps you understand it better and didn't confuse you more. :o)
