Although my natural inclination is to be a bottom, I've actually had more opportunities to play an S&M top than a bottom. In my occasional role as an S&M top, I try to choreograph a scene that will be rewarding for both the bottom and for me. However, people have different ideas of what an S&M scene should be. And people have different wants and needs, and they may not even know what their needs really are. So an S&M scene may sometimes not go as the top had planned.
I thought I'd recount an S&M scene I had many years ago which could have ended badly. Luckily, I recognized it early enough in the evening and was able to figure out an alternate course of action which worked out pretty well.
I had met a guy in a bar. Before we left the bar, I had made it quite clear that I wanted to give him a whipping with my belt. He said he was into that. We went over to my apartment. After some light foreplay, I tied him down spreadeagled on my bed, took off the wide garrison belt I was wearing, and gave him his first lash with the belt. I could tell from his extreme physical reaction to that first lash that the S&M scene I had planned for him was probably not going to work out. Maybe, he had never had a real S&M experience before and only had unrealistic fantasies about it. While I was trying to figure out how to salvage this scene, I put a blindfold on him to buy me a little more time.
Luckily, an idea occurred to me. I had a police uniform with all the associated equipment in my closet. So while the bottom was still blindfolded, I quietly put on my complete police uniform. Then I untied the bottom and guided him (still blindfolded) down onto his knees on the carpet, and I stood directly in front of him. I took his hands in mine and placed them on the leather of my 2-1/4" wide Sam Browne (holster) belt so he could feel the texture of its basketweave leather. Then I guided his hands toward the center so they could "explore" the large metal buckle of my Sam Browne belt. (I also made sure that, while doing so, he "accidentally" discovered the bulge in my pants.) After that, I guided his left hand over the basketweave leather of my gun holster. I had a gun replica inside the holster. So I let him feel the gun handle as well. Then I slowly guided his right hand over the full length of my baton. Surely, I'm not the only person to have noticed the strange similarity of the crosspiece of a PR-24 baton to a part of the male anatomy?
I would have loved to know what his thoughts had been as he felt the various parts of my uniform. Had he figured out that it was a police uniform? I'll never know. I didn't think to ask him afterward. Anyway, when I finally took off his blindfold, and his eyes beheld a man in a police uniform towering over him, he went "wild". I unzipped my fly as it became apparent he wanted to drain my body of its most precious fluid. I think I had fulfilled one of his favorite fantasies. (To be frank, it's one of my favorite fantasies too.)
