Thanks to all who have prayed for Kera, she is out of hospital and is doing better. For those of you who don't know, Kera has Fatty Oxidation Disorders (FODs) are genetic metabolic deficiencies if in which the body is unable to oxidize (breakdown) fatty acids to make energy because an enzyme is either missing or not working correctly. The main source of energy for the body is a sugar called glucose. Normally when the glucose runs out, fat is broken down into energy. However, that energy is not readily available to children with FOD.There is no cure for this disease but treatment options...
Kera has had this since birth and is being treated by a specialist from The Chidlrens hospital and we were able to obtain some testing this time that should further help us understand and help her with this disease so should have those resluts in the next month or so. AGain thanks for all the prayers, gifts and get well wishes.They meant a lot to Kera & I....
