Welcome all to the new season 2009

I will be reporting on all games that i get to see this season.

RESERVES
It was good to see a mixture of young and old and able to play the game. The defence was rock solid starting from Ian in goal all the way to left back to a player called Corey, who was causing problems for the opposition down the left side (marriage will do that to you.) with Chris and Rowan controlling the midfield i wasn't sure if i was watching the seniors or the reserves, the strikers had the defence working overtime with another Munro on the park causing problems, all that was missing was that important first goal. I realised it was the reserves i was watching when key players had to come of and prepare for the seniors. There was still plenty of talent on the park and they fought out a guttsy 0-0 draw. Well done boys.

SENIORS
What i witnessed this day has not been seen at Ringwood for a very long time. It was a matter of time before we got on the scoreboard, just as i was thinking that Tox got onto a through ball and made no mistake 1-0.
A few minutes later a long high ball over our defence which found there striker 1-1.
Never say die attitude saw as fight back the lead with a goal from our other striker Tully 2-1.
Once again a long high ball had Matt in a spin and unfortunatly he punched the ball into his own net 2-2.
The game was played at a fast and physical way and changes had to be made the coach (Dougy)decides to brings on experience (Chris) and a tough defender (Lester) unfortunatly he was abit to tough and gave away a penalty 2-3.
Never say die attitude came into it again with 20 minutes remaining the play of the day was witnessed and brought the scores level when the cool carm and collective Luke took the ball from Matt and played it to Lester were he passed it to Chris with time to turn and pin pass a long ball to Tully in the forward line were he sent Tox on his way to make the score 3-3. (class)
They had no answers in the last 15 minutes with our midfield James, Chris and Daniel all over them and forwards scoring two more goal between them, the opposition couldn't wait to go home. Ringwood 5 Harrisfield 3 - Tox 3 Tully 2 goals. WELL DONE LADS
