Welcome back everyone from a couple of weeks off, there was the bye 2 weeks ago and then there was the Parkmore game the following week, which the referee decided that the ground was not fit for a soccer game (or mud wrestling), but somehow the reserves were made to play after they removed the pigs and cows from the centre of the ground.
Once again there was no official referee for this game so as usual one of there commitee members was appointed for this game. And you guest it he protected his team by given them everything so the boys had to work hard in difficult conditions. And as usual they did by dominated most of the first half with Chris C coming the closest to scoring the opener when his first time volley from a tight angle crashed onto the cross bar. 0-0 Half time.
Second half got even tougher with the wind picking up and Chris C taking no further part in the game when he picked up an injury. So on came another experienced player in Micah D. But once again the talking point was there referee who had no idea about the rules of the game and lost control of the game.
Not long into the game Parkmore managed to score when clearly the goal keeper was obstructed and fouled which saw the ball spill out of his hands only to see the ball roll into the net.1-0 down
Minutes later more trouble erupted when Cam was kicked in the head while trying to head the ball which saw him carried off and into an abulance with head and neck injuries.
And yes you guest it again the offender was still on the park (must be related to the ref).
Once again our boys continued to dominate and in the closing stages of the game chances fell to Daniel M Dave S and Micah's header coming of the cross bar, but thanks to there ref he made sure that we left there without a result. 1-0 down - Dont worry boys they still have to come to Ringwood. And the good news is Cam has recovered from his injury.
The Seniors have to wait another week.
