I'm going to stick to what i have been doing all year and give you a report on both games. but i need to scream out CHAMPIONS MIGHTY CHAMPIONS......................
Ok lets get into it for the last time which has been a great season for the club.
RESERVES;
For these lads it was all about having fun and playing with a hangover from last weeks celebrations on winning the championship for the first time in 13 years.
But that wasn't going to stop Ringwood finishing the season on a high. And on the 15th minute mark the clever and tallented Chris C took advantage of the strong wind and cought everyone off gaurd and asleep when his corner went in on the near post.
In the second half it was one way traffic and the lads extended there lead with more clever foot work this time from Micah D when he gave the keeper no hope and made it 2-0. And the third and final goal came from the oldest man on the park (5?) who out jumped 3 defenders and head the ball over the keepers head for a comfortable 3-0 win.
SENIORS;
Biggest game of the season came down to 90 minutes of soccer. With only 1 point clear from Parkmore and Caufield who were playing each other ment that only a win for Ringwood was on the cards.
And the lads started in style and attacked creating plenty of chances to take an early lead but somehow found themselves 0-0 at half time.
Now 45 minutes remained to celebrate a fantastic season. With the score locked at 0-0 and Caufield were giving Parkmore a lesson ment the crowd became very worried and anxious, and only 15 minutes were left. And finally the break through we were looking for came when the classy James Van Guilk got his head to the ball and managed to guide it into the top corner and celebrate with the strong and loud supporters. Then it was party time when Tox's free kick from out side the box sailed into the top corner to make it 2-0 with 5 minutes to play. But somehow Rodrigo A wanted to make sure that the championship was secured when he took the ball around the keeper and made it 3-0.
A fantastic performance from everyone at Ringwood City.

i apologise if i left anyone out.
And finally a fantastic job to the coaching staff that took on this job and tought the boys to believe and know how to win and become CHAMPIONS. DOUG, MATT & CHRIS - Fantastic achievement to get the club up and running. And last but not least the people and sponsors behind the seens that put alot of time and effort to the club. WELL DONE.
