She does not feel exhausted but realizes it will soon catch up with her. Knowing that Rashkae could use it to better advantage than her, she gathers up the rest of her Power into her center, forming a bright, white-hot orb of sheer Energy. Painfully she forces it out of her, with a very quiet, keening cry, and sends it floating towards the golden gryphon. The last thing Sirith remembers before blacking out is the glowing, angelic gryphon, shimmering in gold. She does not realize that this could be only in her eyes.
As she collapses to the ground, the pure Energy flows into Rashkae, lacing his gold with shimmering, dancing traces of mercury-silver and hints of blue.
Sirith awakens, having only been knocked unconscious by the sheer force necessary to do so. Unable to move, at least for the minute, she feels herself drained of every last drop of strength, of pure life force, except for the very barest amount needed to keep her heart beating. She realizes that she should have kept more- she'll be in no state to help, lying helpless on the ground. Mentally she sighs. I was so keen on self-sacrifice that perhaps I have sacrificed the others.
But the sight of the majestically over-generous Rashkae pushing and pushing himself was too much for her to bear, and now she watches him, hoping that she has helped and not hurt the one who has been so tremendously kind to her.
