I myself find it hard to believe that she needed spanked for anything that she was holding in. (guilty feelings) What kind of world do we live in where our children can't tell us things so they make up lies about stealing grooming sets?

Even if she did something she felt she needed a spanking for why couldn't she come to you and tell you what it was without lying to you?

If this is indeed how this went down please consider getting your child some counseling. There is an underlying reason to this and it is not that simple. In the meantime spend some time with your child and take her to places just the two of you. Gain her trust now and let her now she can come to you with anything. When she is a teenager it will be too late to get her trust.
