Best wishes integrating Karla into the family. She should sign a formal loan note or IOU to help reinforce the gravity of borrowing money to avoid jail time. Your husband would rightly want the deal in writing and possibly to have a "talk" with Karla himself.

We, as a forum, are losing Gigi but Kareless Karla is likely to distract us -- how dumb is texting and driving? She deserves to be eating off the mantelpiece as my teacher used to call having gotten it good!
