 In either case, I think they should be used with great care. Perhaps someone should set up cane or switch classes, to make sure they are used properly! I'll volunteer lol!! At the very least, the punisher should practise first on a cushion to get the feel of it. I have often used a cane in play, and I am aware that it can go astray, land too high or too low. It should never be held too high up, as there will too much whip, and not only cause excessive pain, but also increase the chances of missing the target. Never used a switch, but I imagine the same applies. I also think that to lash the thighs, or the thighs only, is cruel. Bottoms were created for spanking and should be used for such.

INXS has described the different pains very well. A loving parent should never use cane or switch brutally. The threat should be enough in most cases. It is rather like the dentist. The fear of going is always worse than actually being treated.
