Just curious, Confused: Has there ever been a time that you asked a daughter if she felt she deserved a spanking for something, and she said no, and so you didn't spank her? My guess is, in this case, your daughter felt deep down that she truly did deserve one, but I also have to wonder: Did she realize that you were actually going to go by whatever her answer was (as long as she gave it respectfully)? Or, could she have thought the very fact that you brought up the word "spanking" meant that she was inevitably going to get one, so she might as well give the answer (even wordlessly) that would make you proud of her?
