I think that your daughter is just a typical 12 year old, Confused. Which is not to excuse her misconduct but to tell you not to worry. As one of the men here said, she will soon spend more time on hygiene and beauty than you will want her to. On the other hand, going over mom's lap for a spanking (or two, for that matter) is typical 12 year old as well. She still has to learn to be considerate of herself and others, and you have found a good way of teaching her. Hope that this lesson lasts for a while!
