Well, I really don't have much of a choice. Again my mom has rules and guidelines and she expects them to be followed. In the past we found that grounding was pretty pointless and ended up with me getting spanked anyway because I thought I was too big for restrictions. Grounding caused a lot of resentment and even worse behavior on my part and more frustrations on my moms part. When we tried that on occasions in the past it ended up with me not being able to sit for a day or two anyway.
During our last talk my mom made it clear that if I break the rules, act inappropriately or go outside of the guidelines she is not going to even mess around with arguing or grounding, I will get a spanking. Being on my own I have found myself in trouble for various reasons, made extremely poor decisions, gone into debt and have had little concern for my health and well being. In a lot of ways I look forward to guidance and restrictions, though it will be a huge change and take some getting used to.
I'm sure it will be embarrassing. It seems that the economy being what it is today more and more people in their teens and 20's are living with their parents, but it's still pretty embarrassing just that. I don't know if other teens and 20's are getting spanked or otherwise punished, but I'm sure some do. I don't know if any of the accounts on here are real, but it sounds like young adults such as myself do get a spanking from time to time. I guess I'll find out if and when it happens.
Even worse is over the past few years my mom has gotten more religious and rigid in her thinking. Not that that's a bad thing in general, but for me that means she's going to be more restrictive and more 'old fashioned' in the way she deals with me. I'll find out very soon.
