Your approach coupled sterner measures with an ultimatum. So in your view was it the two together that proved effective? In other words simply being much stricter with her would not by itself have accomplished your objective?
If so what you experienced could be unique to the female and or the age you were dealing with. If not, then the notion of effective spanking may be called into issue since it alone can't achieve the objective sought for some. That in turn raises the question of whether the some is in the end a minority or majority?
