Usually the first punishment I get is a spanking;grounding is used mainly if spankings doesn't correct my behavior.

If i have the choice(that's not the case),i prefer a spanking,more painful but over more quickly.

I agree that grounding is more effective for a teen or a young adult,especially when we start to go out with friends a lot or when dating(I really hate to not be able to date a boy,or not bz allowed to see and call my boyfriend because I'm grounded).
