I wish I could answer in a definitive way as to why we have these feelings. I have come to believe we are just born this way, as people are born gay or straight, and there is nothing we can really do to change that fact. So when we find someone who understands us and is willing to help us with these needs, we feel very strongly about them and for them. I know in my case, for example, being spanked is my very first memory. I think "spanking' was the first word I ever looked up in a dictionary once I learned how to use one. I also have a reason to believe this need could be hereditary. I have been spanked once by a man and spanked by one once, but 99% of spankings I have given or received have been with women involved.
