Back in the sixities when I went to college in a distant town it was not unusual to board with a local family. The lady where I stayed was supposed to have two students but for some reason the other girl didnt come. I was a bit younger than most at just 17 and in fact only a couple of years older than Mrs Robins own daughter. It was my first time away from home and I suppose I overdid it a bit and we had a few arguments about what time I got back in the evening and I was a bit rude at times. In fact she threatened to throw me out, which would have caused trouble both with the school and with my parents.
Looking back it was difficult for her, trying to keep Terri, her daughter, from misbehaving with me running wild. Especially as we became good friends, close in age and appearance.
Once when I came in I heard them arguing upstairs after which the unmistakable sounds of a spanking. Mrs Robins just looked at me when she came back down.
It was about a week later. I had been a bit of a pest and I could see her getting mad. It ended with me walking out, slamming the door and going up to my room.
After a few minutes I heard Mrs Robins coming up the stairs, into my room and told me she had had enough. I was impossible, a bad influence on her daughter and either things changed or I was to leave at the end of the week.
Of course I said sorry, yes I would try harder, be good, come in on time, not talk back etc etc etc.
If you are to stay here, from now on I treat you as if you were my own daughter. Curfew is 10.30 for you and schoolwork finished before you go out. And the sort of behaviour we just had downstairs will earn you the same spanking I would give Terri. Starting right here and now.
Mrs Robins sat down on the bed and grabbed my arm.

Of course I struggled but she was stronger and had a degree of moral authority. I ended up fairly quickly sprawled across her lap.
I was wearing jeans but she had picked up a hairbrush and the message got through loud and clear. It wasnt long before I was bawling like an eight year old. It was my first spanking in about 6 years.
After it stopped Mrs Robins left me sobbing and went back to the kitchen to get supper. She called me down when it was ready.
Terri, was already at the table but didnt say anything.
Things were better between us after that and I stayed a full year. I was spanked twice more, once together with Terri when we were caught going off to a club and once when I swore at her.
I met Terri again years later, she said her mother had students staying all the time she lived at home, but I was the only one she had ever spanked.
