Coch became my brother many years ago,we became blood relatives in 1975 at a protest in TN.
We have stood side beside in many battles,and now even though he won't be there in body anymore,he will be with us in spirit.
I was with Coch on the day his family was killed.The incident should never have happened,but did.He never really got over it.After that day he became even stronger than ever in his fight for our people,and was more determined than ever to stop the injustices to our people.
I will forever hear his beautiful deep voice and that deep laugh that he was always displaying.
His one outstanding charactertistic was the growl that started out very low and intensified as his anger grew.Everyone said that was the bear in him.When that growl started,everybody that knew him,knew to get the hell out of his way,for war had started.
Coch was a gentle man with a very gentle heart,but was a very strong and brave warrior when the need arose.In all the years I have known him,I never saw him backdown from anything,nor did he ever refuse a request or plea for help.He came to my rescue many times.
Yes my brother your spirit will be with us forever to guide and lead us in battle,and in times of sorrow and loneliness.
I feel your presence with me at all times,and that gives me the courage to continue the fight.
My love and spirit will always be with you my brother.
