With his dirty muddy paws. I let him out… He wants to come in! I let him in… He wants to go out! In my garden He tramples my plants. I’ve even seen him Watering my prize Chrysanths. He drools on my dress When I’m ready to go out. “What’s all the fuss about?” He seems to smile when I shout. He runs like a whirl-wind At lightning fast speed. It’s even worse If he see’s his lead… I shut him in the kitchen, Soon as my back’s turned He opens the door. Then I find him next morning On my son’s bedroom floor. So we take him for a ride Not gone far… You guessed it … He’s sick in the car. Then guests arrive They think he’s cute… A handsome guy, And clever to boot.. That’s when he turns his back And gently lifts his tale. What ever you do Try hard not to inhale…. POOH!! But for all his misdeeds And there are quite a few. One look from those big brown eyes… And… He’s gotcha!… Ker..Pang!… Arrow to the heart…. I told ya, This dog Is very, very smart. But he’s faithful, loyal, loving and kind. Such devotion, is hard to find. We know he loves us, We love him too. We just wouldn’t be a family If we didn’t have you.
