Full moon in lavender with moon-glow
in midnight silk
and I waited for the soft hush
of your fingertip glide

it was a long way to paradise

held down to the ache and pressed
into reveries of silvered tongue,
the worship sung sweet harmonies
as I was laden with the nectar
of Goddess, where you drank deep

no arch of elusive would steer me
begging for sanctuary

No - I would seek the heat of your
flame as a moth hypnotized
by the promise of undeniable singe
as burnt offerings to the pit of desire

whispered gentility
bound softly-hardened territories marked
for discovery; the flesh of me unleashing secrets
recounting patterns in runic origins
in the silent fall of breathless

there, we descended to the abyss of wanton

sleek and glistening in star-graven images
staining our promises kept in proffered golden
highlights amidst jewels of rubies, garnets
emeralds and sapphires

no sin is as perfect as this; no beckon of
promised light more illuminating

where midsummer’s garden blooms eternal
