Small Portions

She dances on conclusions
celebrating her perception
thoughts floating on the air
leading her to safer ground

where no risk
is worthy of departure

no exits from the nest
the solitary safeness of self
where arguments are short lived
where the womb warms the choice

you can find her there
defining her tomorrows
there amongst the others
dreaming of things
she'll never admit

I ordered building blocks
from my life tools catalogue
they sent me frail works of art

I'm not one to complain

She feeds me small portions
they are exclusive and keen.
I don't accept them as conclusions

she's forever changing her mind.
