In Fractured Light

As fractured light weaves through the talking trees,
that bend in worship, to the weeping night.
I turn my face to feel the evening breeze,
the flickers, of the ever-lacing light.

And henna-like, my senses, gently wrapped,
by tendrils curling pathways to my mind.
This wooded glen with guards of mountains, capped,
gifts magic, of the Mother Nature kind.

Though days will leave their mark, ‘pon leafen wall,
tall forest sentinels will bid me calm.
My heart will feel the night with each footfall,
the silent earth will be my healing balm.

The soothe of Mother Nature is a gift,
as neath the moon and stars I feel the shift.
