Hmm, so the lady had a past, eh? Didn't we all, mused the spotted stallion. Confusion and concern warred for supremacy in the stud's dark eyes. Choosing to be a gentleman, the freckled Appaloosa gave voice to his thoughts.

"Care to talk about it?" he offered nonchalantly. The last thing he wanted to do was scare the mare. He wasn't typically the nosy type, but it seemed that some dormant traits were asserting themselves in the lovely lady's presence.
