¤† The fae noticed Jagger's nervous pawing at the ground and giggled, for she had once had a brother who had a habit of the same thing. Then, sighing and biting her bottom lip thoughtfully, she began her story. Well, there's not really much to tell.. but, er... I was born about four and a half years ago in a little valley called Saracean.. My father was the lead stallion, and my mother--his favorite mare. They courted for a while, though I'm not sure for how long--they never told me, before my mother gave birth to me. And, believe it or not, I was a dark dapple grey when I was born. But as I grew older my coat grew whiter, and along the way my mom gave birth to another foal, who was my brother. He took after my father and his black coat, and was terribly smug and egotistical. She giggled slightly. He wasn't that way for long, though.. when he discovered the opposite gender he became as nervous as a rabbit. She giggled again. Anyway, when I was around three and a half and my brother around two and a half, a terrible misfortune struck us. One morning when our herd woke from a good night's sleep we discovered my brother missing. We searched and searched for many days but couldn't find him.. She paused as the terrible memories haunted her thoughts. But.. anyway.. it was still a normal life for us, except with the plague that stabbed our hearts. I carried on a growing mare's life, but decided to leave just a few months ago. I couldn't take all the pain that still shrouded my herd. †¤
