Subject: Vernon Dent (1895-1963)

Vernon Dent (1895-1963) made more appearances in The Three Stooges shorts than any other supporting actor, beginning with Half Shot Shooters (1936). His final Stooges short was Knutzy Knights (1954). In subsequent Stooges shorts only stock footage of him was used.

Check out Rick's biography of Vernon Dent at The Three Stooges Guide. It appears right after the synopsis of Knutzy Knights.

Vernon Dent can also be seen in Society Mugs (1946), a comedy short subject starring Shemp Howard and Tom Kennedy. Dent plays Lord Wafflebottom in this reworking of Termites of 1938. Three Stooges regular Christine McIntyre is also in the cast.
