Subject: Half-Wits Holiday (1947)

A remake of Hoi Polloi. Professors Quackenbush and Sedletz debate whether heredity or environment is the most important influence in determining outcome. The result is a wager, with the boys (who are plumbers) as guinea pigs. Can the uncultured trio be transformed into gentlemen?

Sadly, this is Curly's final Stooges short. Favorite moments include:

"Tut Tut, poof poof, to say nothing of piffle.."

"You don't know your arithmetic."
"You don't know my father!"

Moe reads backwards.

The gallant Curly kisses the hand of a lady guest. He puts her diamond in his safe deposit box.

And I believe Professor Sedletz (Ted Lorch) was also the one kicked in the jaw during Curly's reflex test. Ah, the many indignities suffered by the High Priest of Mongo, lol!
