Subject: fresh veggies--yum

My uncle sent us a brown grocery bag of zucchinis and a plastic shopping bag of green and yellow beans and a yellow squash yesterday. I am loving it. I cooked up some zucchini n mushrooms in a skillet of water until cooked and added a little butter to finish them off. Had some cheese tortellini in tomatoe basil sauce with it. Oh it was good.

tomorrow I am grilling chicken breast and salmon and probably have green beans n a potato along. I like to cook extras for leftovers. i wonder if the green beans would be good grilled? might have to invest in a grill basket n find out.

Have a great weekend!

Sounds YUMMY!!!
Green Beans are FANTASTIC grilled!!!!!! Add a lil butter to some foil, add your g. beans & then top with a lil S & P. Place on the grill open or closed, check after about 15 min to teat for doneness. I like mine with a lil crunch left to them. DH likes his completely done so I usually start 1 bunch sooner than the other.

I never got the green beans on the grill:( the gas tank ran out midway so I threw the chicken in a skillet and the salmon in one too. Luckily the potatoes were already done. And the corn on the cob was boiling on the stove. Guess I need to get a new gas tank soon. Will try the beans maybe tomorrow if I get a new tank.

My hubby fixes zucchinis on the grill all the time. I will have to try the beans. Sound great.
