Subject: I was stupid!

I was to have a cataract removed monday, and at 6am I had low blood sugar (47). All I could think about was NO FOOD after midnight, so I ate an ice cream bar, was I ever glad I wrote it down on the check in paper, as the dr said I could have died, something about the milk and the drugs used to put me out! I have to go back in a month, as the first opening, but it makes me so mad at myself. When my sugars get that low, I don't always think straight, and I was thnking it would be liquid, as I usually have a bowl of cereal whan that happens. The dr said I could of had a small glass of apple juice.... I don't keep that on hand as to much sugar in it..... but next time I will. With my other cataract, my sugar was to high and they gave me a shot, seems like my sugars never stay still very long!
