3. Diabetic or Supporter? Supporter For My Husband

4. What type diabetes? Type 2

5. How long diagnosed? appx. 15 years

6. How your husband's diabetes controlled? shots and diet

7. What medications does your husband take for Diabetes? insulin only -58 units of Lantus insulin at night, 6 units of Novlog insulin at breakfast, 6 units of Novlog insulin at lunch, 10 units of Novlog insulin at dinner and then on a sliding scale of additional units of Novlog insulin anytime my husband's blood sugar is over 150

8. Any family diabetics as well? In my family, my mother, grandmother and at least one aunt were diabetics. In my husband's family, his father and his sister were diabetics.

9. What testing meter do you use? My husband using the One Touch Ultra meter.

10. Do you recieve other help besides MD? no

11. What will make this board best for you? support and ideas {esp. including new recipes}
