I only met Dave once but as those who have met him know, he leaves a lasting impression.

I was at a bar in Renton, WA & a Monks cd was conspicuous amongst the rest of the selections in the jukebox. Knowing he lived in town I asked the bartender if he ever came in. She said yes & five minutes later in he strolled w/ Irene. I introduced my wife & myself & we spent the rest of the night talking, drinking & laughing. We exchanged #'s & made plans to meet up again but never did. I'm grateful to have had that chance meeting & get to spend a few hours w/ such a charming & funny human being.
