Sad news indeed, monk fans... our beloved drummer, Roger, has passed into the night... I'm too shook up at the moment to go on much... Eddie Shaw e-mailed me with the news... my heart breaks... having known the man personally (we often talked about non-music stuff since Roger, like I, was a fanatical reader) this is one music loss that cuts a bit deeper... Roger's drumming MADE the monks... every single one of them was essential to the sound, but Roger was the one who laid the foundation that they built the skyscraper on... a great drummer and a gem of a human...
