lemme think "new happenings" that I can recall...Eddie writes 2 books, Larry is found!, a reunion happens in 1999, Mike Fornatale is discovered, later joins Moby Grape, 3 new albums of monk material are released - black monk time (with bonus tracks), 5 upstart americans and Lets's Start A Beat. Black Monk Time is released on bootleg vinyl, but vinyl nonetheless, Eddie gets married, Dave has his 10th wedding anniversary, a monks tribute 45 is released, and monks names appear more and more frequently as heroes and inspiration for a bunch of bands currently riding high white stripes, strokes on and on. So yeah there is a lot to talk about! -- and hey its a place for old fans and new to monk-out and on WHAT OTHER site are can you ask a question and have a monk write you back?
