Subject: It should not be in the older girls if they only knew how stupid they look. Of course moms think they look cute doing it.
In reply to: 's message, "I think the same about the expressions in the other stage events too. Since when is hanging your mouth open pretty? I know of one little 5 year old who does this a lot and I think it looks terrible but she still wins. so apparently, if you want to win, this is the route you need to go" on 16:04:25 12/28/11 Wed

[> [> [> [> [> My DD refuses to do those faces! Honestly, I have no idea why judges think that is so appealing over a poised and refined smile that is truly a picture of the child in real life rather than put on. -- No name, 05:24:47 12/29/11 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Yep, when you pop your toe and do huge arm moves in Beauty, it's not a beauty pageant any more. It's casualwear in a beauty dress. There is nothing that just screams weird like a 9 or 10 year old with her toe popped and her hands behind her back in a Beauty dress like she just got caught in the cookie jar. Judges and moms are just lapping it up, too. -- No name, 07:55:35 12/29/11 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> You forget these are glitz pageants and not Miss Teen USA. You wouldn't see a 5yr old with a pound of make up in the Miss systems either. Point is it a different type of sytem altogether. Roll with the flow or move on but don't complain about not winning cause your dd does't make some silly face. -- No name, 09:34:09 12/30/11 Fri [1]
