Prescott Raceway Park in South Arkansas will
open their '09 season with an Outlaw Shootout
on March 7. For more info, go to:

www.PrescottRaceway.net

When you get there, click the "Outlaws" link
then go to class info. for rules and updates.
Most outlaw classes required to run diapers
this year, but not required for index racers.

Prescott has a nice 1/8 mile track, nice pits
and grounds. Good concession stand, too.

why didn't the promoters refund some of the entry fee back to the guys that could not make the field? A 175.00 $ is alot to pay just to test and tune and only one crew member,how many teams out there have less than three crew guys? Way to blow things up ,ALL HYPE , Basicly some them guys were robbed right in front of their face!In all classes.

- For a first event things worked out decent to say people got payed and that is the main thing . Not only that the money the program guaranteed which is a success. For the disgruntled racers anytime you go to any event to be competitive you must always bring your A game. As you all know things happen in racing , but if you are on top of your game as far performance, you should not worry about making the cut because you already know you are in the show. So there is non one to blame but yourself for such a lackluster effort of preparation. If you are coming from a long ways to race anywhere you need to have your stuff together to avoid these situations. For a first show, good job man. Be real anyway the first time anyone do anything there will be a few kinks to work out. I would like to thank Grant, Erin, Shan, Matt, Amy and everyone that was involved in putting this race on!!! I know how hard you guys worked and how hard it is to put together something like this. You guys DO NOT deserve all the crap you are taking from all these NO NAME LOSERS on here. My car should be done this year and I cant wait to support your efforts to bring a BIG MONEY race to this area! I know LOTS of calls and favors were called in to people and companys all over the country and I for 1 am very greatful for all of you efforts. It is a thankless job and I thank you for going through it for the sport that we all love.

It was posted "min 32 car field". None of the racers had a problem with it because their professionals ,class acts and know how things work. The one racer that had a problem "always " has a problem.lol The other racers and fans were wonderful and I have respect and much love for all of them. All I heard from the fans and racers is "Thank you, great race, and see you at the next one." I just want you guys to know My race team and I had a great time this weekend in Ennis. The competetion in Xtreme Street was Awesome(good group of guys). Everything went smooth for us and the announcer was SPOT ON (good job Freddy). The whole staff was very helpfull with anything I needed. With this race going as good as it did for the first race you better bet I will be attending the rest of the races with in my driving range. Keep up the good work and see you at the next one!!

Promods chose to split semis up the FULL money for those 4 spots all 13500.00 was paid to them, they chose to split it themselves. Where do you go on this earth with 24 cars and race and get paid like a 32 car field. It doesn't happen. FULL payouts were payed to every class . There were only 5 out of state cars that DID NOT make a field and one of them is a regular Dallas area racer so don't start rumors that there was all these people not treated right, it's just not true. FULL PAYOUTS were paid to everyone who made the field that is what is important because it was posted full field required and we chose not to cut payouts even thought there wan't a full field. . We put on a great Sorry you can't make everyone happy all the time but thank you to all who came and for all the great comments on the show. - wish you would quit bustin TPSA chops. At the last OTS race you're talking about the #9 thru #14 qualifiers, 3 et's were 5.09 to 6.80, 2 broke, and 1 went too fast @ 4.67. And the #4 thru #8 qualified with 4.75 to 4.92. Saturday nite, TPSA had 3 cars in the 4.60's, 5 in the .80's and 1 ran 5.0's. Also, there's 5 TPSA cars on the sidelines right now that will run .80's. - Bracket (index) racing's great, done some myself, and you're right, there's no pesky engine rules to comply with....you can run any engine combo you want to run 4.70. If it's your favorite class to watch or run... good, but why rag on another class on this board? I've been to OTS events and it was ok, good group of people, pro tree bracket race and they use lots of combo's to run 4.70. Again not bashing anyone, all racing's good, but for my money, you can't beat heads-up, no power adder, racing. 20,000 to win and 2500 for second. 250.00 to enter and fuel 4.00 gallon (.75 per mile 750 miles 1125.00 round trip). What's wrong with 15,000w,50002nd,1000,500 for qualifing. Wish I could make it but to much of a gamble to win 2500 for second which would almost break even.

Ed sorry you can't make it haven't seen you in along time maybe you can make it next year. However you should never leave the house for runner up money and most of the time you can get the guy in finals to split. Although racing is a gamble everytime you go to the track. No the shoot out is for anyone with street car, race car etc....Like the TV show...Everyone who comes to run will get two Qualifing passes time permitting and then the 16 closest cars will run for 1000.00 winner and 500.00 r/u. 6 to 8 and inbetween rounds will be test and tune for all other outlaw racers.
